 1-2                              SENATE RESOLUTION

 1-3           WHEREAS, The City of Spring and the State of Texas are

 1-4     justly proud of one of their fine young citizens, David Wideman,

 1-5     who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and

 1-6           WHEREAS, This outstanding young gentleman brought honor to

 1-7     himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state in

 1-8     earning the coveted Eagle Badge; and

 1-9           WHEREAS, David completed a service project which required him

1-10     to exercise his leadership abilities and at the same time benefit

1-11     his community; and

1-12           WHEREAS, Few are ever privileged to be named among the ranks

1-13     of the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only two out of every 100 Boy

1-14     Scouts reach this lofty position; and

1-15           WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and

1-16     promise, David advanced from Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and

1-17     Life classes to that of Eagle Scout; he is truly an exemplary citizen

1-18     of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it

1-19           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

1-20     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate David Wideman of Troop 449

1-21     on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and commend him on this great

1-22     achievement; and, be it further

1-23           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

 2-1     Eagle Scout Wideman as a token of great admiration and esteem

 2-2     from the Texas Senate.
