1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 403

        1-2           WHEREAS, The City of Duncanville will sorely miss the wisdom

        1-3     and expertise of Bob Lee who is retiring from his position as

        1-4     Director of Utilities for the city after years of devoted service;

        1-5     and

        1-6           WHEREAS, Mr. Lee has instituted many new projects and was

        1-7     instrumental in developing and constructing water storage

        1-8     facilities, thereby saving thousands of dollars; and

        1-9           WHEREAS, This talented man created an aggressive

       1-10     Inflow/Infiltration Program in the wastewater system; and

       1-11           WHEREAS, Mr. Lee has worked with other entities to establish

       1-12     long-term water supply and wastewater disposal for Duncanville

       1-13     citizens; and

       1-14           WHEREAS, Mr. Lee coordinated the purchase of property in

       1-15     Ellis County for a sanitary landfill and obtained a state landfill

       1-16     permit; and

       1-17           WHEREAS, The energetic Director of Utilities has coordinated

       1-18     a full curbside recycling and brush clipping program; and

       1-19           WHEREAS, A man who seeks to give back to his community,

       1-20     Bob Lee has served the North Central Texas Council of Governments

       1-21     on the Public Works Advisory Committee to develop standard

       1-22     specifications and drawings; and

       1-23           WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman has served Duncanville

        2-1     through the administrations of nine mayors, six city managers, and

        2-2     56 city council members; and

        2-3           WHEREAS, Noted for his honesty and integrity, Mr. Lee has

        2-4     always merited the respect and friendship of his colleagues; and

        2-5           WHEREAS, It is indeed appropriate that the Texas Senate

        2-6     pay tribute to Mr. Lee for his manifold contributions to the

        2-7     City of Duncanville and the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it

        2-8           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

        2-9     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate Bob Lee on his retirement

       2-10     and wish him the best of luck in the retirement years ahead; and,

       2-11     be it further

       2-12           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him

       2-13     as an expression of the highest regard of the Texas Senate.
