1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 484

        1-2           WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and

        1-3     promise, David Andrew Poe of Kaufman, Texas, advanced through

        1-4     the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes

        1-5     before recently attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and

        1-6           WHEREAS, In receiving the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine

        1-7     young man becomes one of the privileged few who ever achieve

        1-8     this distinguished honor; and

        1-9           WHEREAS, In conducting a service project which allowed

       1-10     him to exercise his leadership abilities, David has completed

       1-11     the requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout and has at the same

       1-12     time benefitted his community; and

       1-13           WHEREAS, This personable young man brings great honor to

       1-14     himself, his family, and his troop in joining the elite corps

       1-15     of Eagles; and

       1-16           WHEREAS, David is truly a shining example to his troop and

       1-17     indeed all citizens of Texas; now, therefore, be it

       1-18           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-19     75th Legislature, hereby commend David Andrew Poe of Troop 337

       1-20     on his outstanding achievement; and, be it further

       1-21           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared

       1-22     for Eagle Scout Poe as an expression of admiration from the

       1-23     Texas Senate.
