1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 586

        1-2           WHEREAS, The thoughts and congratulations of her family

        1-3     and many friends are with Mrs. Beulah Mae Hall on the momentous

        1-4     and auspicious occasion of her 95th birthday on April 26, 1997;

        1-5     and

        1-6           WHEREAS, Born on April 26, 1902, in Stanton, Texas,

        1-7     Mrs. Hall has been a lifelong resident of this delightful small

        1-8     town; she grew up there and is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons

        1-9     University; and

       1-10           WHEREAS, A member of a pioneer ranching family, Beulah Mae

       1-11     married Morgan Hall, and they made a home and raised a family;

       1-12     they had two children, Millard Jerry Hall and Jo Jon Cox

       1-13     (deceased); and

       1-14           WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall is proud of her five grandchildren and

       1-15     three great-grandchildren; and

       1-16           WHEREAS, A woman of deep religious convictions, Mrs. Hall

       1-17     is a longtime member of the First Methodist Church; and

       1-18           WHEREAS, A treasured member of her community, Mrs. Hall is

       1-19     noted for her courage and exemplary enthusiasm for living each

       1-20     day to the fullest; and

       1-21           WHEREAS, She is affectionate and her zest for life makes

       1-22     her a favorite among all who know her; now, therefore, be it

       1-23           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

        2-1     75th Legislature, hereby extend birthday greetings to this

        2-2     beloved woman and wish her continued health and happiness; and,

        2-3     be it further

        2-4           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-5     Mrs. Beulah Mae Hall as an expression of the highest esteem

        2-6     of the Texas Senate.
