1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 621

        1-2           WHEREAS, The free market economy in our country guarantees

        1-3     all people the right to benefit from their entrepreneurial ability;

        1-4     and

        1-5           WHEREAS, The Senate of Texas takes pride in recognizing one

        1-6     of the newest businesses to open in Dallas, Nails by Cheryl; it

        1-7     will serve customers in the area surrounding 5449 North Jim Miller

        1-8     Road; and

        1-9           WHEREAS, Owned and operated by Don and Cheryl Thomas, this

       1-10     new enterprise will have its grand opening and dedication on

       1-11     Sunday, May 4, 1997; and

       1-12           WHEREAS, Renowned throughout the area for their enthusiastic

       1-13     participation in the community, Don and Cheryl are active volunteer

       1-14     workers; and

       1-15           WHEREAS, People with deep religious convictions, they are

       1-16     productive members of Saint Luke Community United Methodist Church;

       1-17     and

       1-18           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas are to be congratulated on

       1-19     their opening of a new enterprise, which they plan to eventually

       1-20     give to their son, Eric; now, therefore, be it

       1-21           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-22     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate Don and Cheryl Thomas on

       1-23     opening their newest establishment and wish them every success in

        2-1     their endeavor; and, be it further

        2-2           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-3     the Thomas family as an expression of the high regard and esteem of

        2-4     the Texas Senate.
