1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 643

        1-2           WHEREAS, Only two out of every 100 boys in the Boy

        1-3     Scout program ever achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, yet

        1-4     Christopher Lee Coates of Houston has recently joined the

        1-5     elite corps of Eagles; and

        1-6           WHEREAS, This fine young man has displayed outstanding

        1-7     leadership through the planning and execution of a service

        1-8     project for his community; and

        1-9           WHEREAS, Christopher advanced through the ranks of

       1-10     Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching

       1-11     the rank of Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout

       1-12     oath and promise; and

       1-13           WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, this personable young

       1-14     man brought great distinction to himself, his family, his troop,

       1-15     his community, and his state; and

       1-16           WHEREAS, Christopher is an exceptional representative of

       1-17     the State of Texas and a sterling example to all who are fortunate

       1-18     enough to know him; now, therefore, be it

       1-19           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-20     75th Legislature, hereby commend and applaud Christopher Lee Coates

       1-21     of Troop 455 in recognition of his great achievement; and, be it

       1-22     further

       1-23           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-1     Christopher Lee Coates as an expression of high regard from the

        2-2     Texas Senate.
