1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 661

        1-2           WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is proud to recognize Daniel Mora

        1-3     of Austin on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; this fine young

        1-4     man joined the elite corps of Eagles recently and was presented

        1-5     the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court of Honor; and

        1-6           WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two out

        1-7     of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program ever attain the rank

        1-8     of Eagle Scout; and

        1-9           WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and

       1-10     promise, Daniel advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot,

       1-11     Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle

       1-12     Scout; and

       1-13           WHEREAS, This personable young man has displayed leadership

       1-14     through planning, developing, and conducting a service project;

       1-15     he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and citizens

       1-16     of his community; and

       1-17           WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, Daniel Mora brings

       1-18     great honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community,

       1-19     and his state; now, therefore, be it

       1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-21     75th Legislature, hereby commend Daniel Mora of Troop 48 on

       1-22     receiving this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his

       1-23     outstanding achievement; and, be it further

        2-1           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-2     Daniel Mora as an expression of high regard and esteem from

        2-3     the Texas Senate.
