1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 673

        1-2           WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is a grand occasion

        1-3     worthy of much celebration; and

        1-4           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moss Hatchel of Kaufman, Texas,

        1-5     commemorated their golden wedding anniversary on November 2, 1996,

        1-6     at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall surrounded by their family and

        1-7     friends; and

        1-8           WHEREAS, The achievement of this important milestone in their

        1-9     lives is the result of the love, devotion, and faithfulness of

       1-10     two outstanding individuals; and

       1-11           WHEREAS, Lola and Moss Hatchel have grown ever stronger in

       1-12     friendship and mutual respect as together they have experienced

       1-13     the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and

       1-14           WHEREAS, The world has changed greatly through the years, yet

       1-15     Mr. and Mrs. Hatchel have remained steadfast to traditional family

       1-16     and moral values; and

       1-17           WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Lola and Moss is truly an

       1-18     inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it

       1-19           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-20     75th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to

       1-21     Mr. and Mrs. Moss Hatchel on their 50th wedding anniversary

       1-22     with best wishes for many more years of continued health and

       1-23     happiness; and, be it further

        2-1           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-2     this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in

        2-3     their lives.
