1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 707

        1-2           WHEREAS, Elizabeth Linscome and Phillip White placed great

        1-3     faith and trust in the future when they married on May 17, 1947,

        1-4     and they have been amply rewarded as they celebrate their golden

        1-5     wedding anniversary; and

        1-6           WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years

        1-7     of their marriage, yet Reverend and Mrs. Phillip White of Dallas

        1-8     have steadfastly embraced their devotion to each other, thereby

        1-9     encouraging traditional family and moral values; and

       1-10           WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their

       1-11     love and devotion as together they have shared the joys and

       1-12     sorrows of their friends and loved ones in the North Park/Love

       1-13     Field community; and

       1-14           WHEREAS, In 1952, Phillip and Elizabeth moved into the

       1-15     spiritual leadership of Love Chapel Church of God as Phillip

       1-16     became the pastor of this West Dallas congregation; and

       1-17           WHEREAS, They are outstanding leaders in the examination of

       1-18     our spiritual growth and our earthly responsibilities in our

       1-19     private and public lives; and

       1-20           WHEREAS, The Reverend and Mrs. Phillip White are sharing

       1-21     their happiness with their family and friends at a 50th wedding

       1-22     anniversary celebration hosted by Love Chapel Church of God in

       1-23     Christ on May 18, 1997; and

        2-1           WHEREAS, The happy union of Reverend and Mrs. White is truly

        2-2     an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it

        2-3           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

        2-4     75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to

        2-5     the Reverend and Mrs. Phillip White on their golden wedding

        2-6     anniversary; and, be it further

        2-7           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-8     this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in

        2-9     their lives.
