1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 732

        1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in

        1-3     recognizing Lorenzo Barrios on his efforts to provide water to

        1-4     colonias areas and his active support of the East Montana Water

        1-5     Project; and

        1-6           WHEREAS, As president of the Homestead Municipal Utility

        1-7     District, Lorenzo Barrios has worked tirelessly to ensure the

        1-8     successful completion of the East Montana Water Facility Project;

        1-9     and

       1-10           WHEREAS, In an endeavor to bring water to the people of

       1-11     Homestead, he has given generously of his time and energy, and his

       1-12     hard work has encouraged the board of directors and the community

       1-13     to take the actions necessary to solve the district's problems; and

       1-14           WHEREAS, Mr. Barrios has spent hours of his own time educating

       1-15     people about the steps needed to be taken in order to complete the

       1-16     water project, and his leadership and dedication have been

       1-17     inspirational; and

       1-18           WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman of courage and perseverance,

       1-19     Lorenzo Barrios is an outstanding Texas citizen who deserves

       1-20     recognition for his tenacity, generosity, and concern for his

       1-21     fellowman; now, therefore, be it

       1-22           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-23     75th Legislature, hereby commend Lorenzo Barrios on his diligence

        2-1     and his many accomplishments and extend appreciation to him with

        2-2     best wishes for future success; and, be it further

        2-3           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-4     Lorenzo Barrios as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
