1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 758

        1-2           WHEREAS, Charles Puryear has completed his entire course of

        1-3     study required by the State of Texas to earn his high school

        1-4     diploma; and

        1-5           WHEREAS, Excelling in the quality of work he has done in

        1-6     earning his diploma, he has exceeded the essential course

        1-7     requirements and pursued the most difficult classes available and

        1-8     earned an A average in all these courses; and

        1-9           WHEREAS, In his pursuit of excellence, Charles Puryear has

       1-10     been awarded the National Merit Commended title; and

       1-11           WHEREAS, Awarded the Wal-Mart Scholarship for his high

       1-12     standards and achievements, Charles has also been awarded the

       1-13     Presidential Scholarship for $30,000 at Florida Tech University;

       1-14     and

       1-15           WHEREAS, Charles Puryear is the beloved son of Michael and

       1-16     Joanne Puryear and has made them proud to be his parents no matter

       1-17     how many awards he receives or does not receive; and

       1-18           WHEREAS, The brother of six siblings, Charles is loved and

       1-19     admired by them; now, therefore, be it

       1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-21     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate Charles Puryear and wish him

       1-22     well in his endeavors; and, be it further

       1-23           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-1     Charles Puryear as an expression of the high regard of the

        2-2     Texas Senate.
