1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 767

        1-2           WHEREAS, The citizens of Kemah and the surrounding communities

        1-3     are expressing their appreciation of Tom Fitzmorris, T-Bone Tom,

        1-4     for the wonderful food he has provided as well as his friendship

        1-5     and outstanding community service; and

        1-6           WHEREAS, T-Bone Tom has always been available for the

        1-7     causes which need help; when an area little league needs a donation

        1-8     for uniforms, the coach knows to contact Tom; and

        1-9           WHEREAS, If a school needs t-shirts for student awards, the

       1-10     principal knows to ask Tom, and if a church group needs money to

       1-11     go to camp, the pastor calls Tom; and

       1-12           WHEREAS, Always willing to help out with any worthy cause,

       1-13     Tom has served his community well over the years; and

       1-14           WHEREAS, Tom Fitzmorris will be honored at a T-Bone Tom

       1-15     Appreciation Day in Kemah at the City Park on Sunday, May 18, 1997,

       1-16     complete with all types of entertainment and a bake sale; and

       1-17           WHEREAS, A proven leader who has selflessly devoted his

       1-18     energies and talents to a wide range of worthwhile causes,

       1-19     Tom Fitzmorris is certainly worthy of legislative recognition;

       1-20     now, therefore, be it

       1-21           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-22     75th Legislature, hereby commend and applaud the actions of

       1-23     Tom Fitzmorris and extend greetings to him; and, be it further

        2-1           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-2     him as an expression of the highest regard and esteem of the

        2-3     Texas Senate.
