1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 773

        1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in

        1-3     congratulating Stacy Lynn Boggs of Emory, Texas, on her graduation

        1-4     from Rains High School, May 30, 1997; and

        1-5           WHEREAS, Stacy has demonstrated her determination to accomplish

        1-6     the goals she set for herself and has fulfilled all the requirements

        1-7     for a high school diploma; and

        1-8           WHEREAS, An exceptional young woman, Stacy is an honor student

        1-9     and natural leader among her peers; she is president of the student

       1-10     body and a student council representative; a well-rounded individual,

       1-11     she has been active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the

       1-12     varsity track team, and the volleyball team; and

       1-13           WHEREAS, She has also freely given of her time to her community

       1-14     through her work with the Good Samaritan and Home Health Services

       1-15     and the Business Spirit and Pride Awareness Program, as well as

       1-16     other civic activities; and

       1-17           WHEREAS, Admired by students and teachers alike, Stacy will

       1-18     be missed by her friends and by the faculty members of Rains High

       1-19     School; and

       1-20           WHEREAS, Having successfully faced the many challenges of

       1-21     a high school education, Stacy now embarks on an adventure into

       1-22     a world for which she is well prepared and which holds countless

       1-23     exciting opportunities for her; and

       1-24           WHEREAS, Stacy has been accepted into the United States Air

        2-1     Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the Texas Senate

        2-2     is proud to recognize Stacy on this outstanding achievement; now,

        2-3     therefore, be it

        2-4           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

        2-5     75th Legislature, hereby commend Stacy Lynn Boggs for her

        2-6     superior accomplishments and extend best wishes to her for future

        2-7     success in all her endeavors; and, be it further

        2-8           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this

        2-9     exemplary young Texan as an expression of the admiration and high

       2-10     regard of the Texas Senate.
