1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 774 1-2 WHEREAS, After years of dedication, hard work, and 1-3 perseverance, Jason Thomas Hodges of Tyler, Texas, will graduate 1-4 from the Texas School for the Deaf on May 23, 1997, at 7:30 p.m. 1-5 on the Rudy Gamblin Football Field in Austin, Texas; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The family and friends of this bright student are 1-7 justly proud of Jason's outstanding achievement; and 1-8 WHEREAS, In completing the requirements for graduating from 1-9 this highly esteemed school, Jason Thomas brings great distinction 1-10 to himself, his family, his community, and his state; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Upon graduating from the Texas School for the Deaf, 1-12 Jason embarks on an adventure into a world that holds countless 1-13 exciting opportunities for him; and 1-14 WHEREAS, A beloved student of this worthy institution, 1-15 Jason will be missed by his fellow students and faculty members, 1-16 who are fortunate in having the benefit of his friendship; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Jason is truly a shining example to all who know 1-18 him; and 1-19 WHEREAS, It is a pleasure for the Texas Senate to recognize 1-20 the exceptional accomplishments of this young gentleman, who has 1-21 equipped himself with skills which will enable him to take full 1-22 advantage of all that the future holds for him; now, therefore, 1-23 be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 75th Legislature, commend and applaud the great achievement of 2-2 this distinguished young Texan; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-4 Jason Thomas Hodges as an expression of great admiration and 2-5 respect from the Texas Senate with best wishes for much success 2-6 in the years to come. 2-7 Cain 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 President of the Senate 2-10 I hereby certify that the above 2-11 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-12 on May 18, 1997. 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Secretary of the Senate 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Member, Texas Senate
