1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 784 1-2 WHEREAS, After years of dedication, hard work, and 1-3 perseverance, Kykenjeula Johnson of Tyler, Texas, will graduate 1-4 from the Texas School for the Deaf on May 23, 1997, at 7:30 p.m. 1-5 on the Rudy Gamblin Football Field in Austin, Texas; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The family and friends of this bright student are 1-7 justly proud of Kykenjeula's outstanding achievement; and 1-8 WHEREAS, In completing the requirements for graduating 1-9 from this highly esteemed school, Kykenjeula Johnson brings great 1-10 distinction to herself, her family, her community, and her state; 1-11 and 1-12 WHEREAS, Upon graduating from the Texas School for the 1-13 Deaf, she embarks on an adventure into a world that holds countless 1-14 exciting opportunities for her; and 1-15 WHEREAS, A beloved student of this worthy institution, 1-16 Kykenjeula will be missed by her fellow students and faculty 1-17 members, who are fortunate in having the benefit of her 1-18 friendship; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Ms. Johnson is truly a shining example to all 1-20 who know her; and 1-21 WHEREAS, It is a pleasure for the Texas Senate to recognize 1-22 the exceptional accomplishments of this young woman, who has 1-23 equipped herself with skills which will enable her to take full 2-1 advantage of all that the future holds for her; now, therefore, 2-2 be it 2-3 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-4 75th Legislature, commend and applaud the great achievement 2-5 of this distinguished young Texan; and, be it further 2-6 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared 2-7 for Kykenjeula Johnson as an expression of great admiration and 2-8 respect from the Texas Senate with best wishes for much success 2-9 in the years to come. 2-10 Cain 2-11 ______________________________________ 2-12 President of the Senate 2-13 I hereby certify that the above 2-14 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-15 on May 20, 1997. 2-16 ______________________________________ 2-17 Secretary of the Senate 2-18 ______________________________________ 2-19 Member, Texas Senate
