1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 793
1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
1-3 recognizing Donald Noe for his selection as El Paso Independent
1-4 School District's 1997 Middle/Secondary Teacher of the Year; and
1-5 WHEREAS, Donald Noe has served in the field of education
1-6 and educational administration for more than 30 years; from
1-7 1982 to 1994, he was principal of Las Cruces High School; he is
1-8 currently the chemistry and physical science teacher at Franklin
1-9 High School; and
1-10 WHEREAS, Accolades for his outstanding work as a teacher
1-11 include earning the titles of Best New Teacher of the Year at
1-12 Eastwood High School and Most Outstanding Teacher and Franklin's
1-13 Teacher of the Year at Franklin High School; and
1-14 WHEREAS, Mr. Noe's instructional strategies are founded on the
1-15 belief that teachers have a positive social and educational impact
1-16 on their students and that environment plays a large role in the
1-17 level of student academic performance; and
1-18 WHEREAS, An exceptionally resourceful and dedicated teacher,
1-19 Donald Noe is an enthusiastic educator with a warm sense of humor
1-20 who has distinguished himself in his profession; and
1-21 WHEREAS, His students have greatly benefitted from his
1-22 skillful teaching methods, his sincere concern for the individual,
1-23 and his wise counsel and encouragement; and
2-1 WHEREAS, Donald Noe is a talented instructor and leader, and
2-2 he instills in his students a sense of pride and a lifelong love
2-3 of learning; now, therefore, be it
2-4 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
2-5 75th Legislature, hereby commend Donald Noe for his superior
2-6 contributions to the educational system of Texas and extend best
2-7 wishes to him for many rewarding years ahead; and, be it further
2-8 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
2-9 as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
