1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 801

        1-2           WHEREAS, Benjamin Isaac Embry has excelled in all of the

        1-3     subjects required of a Texas high school graduate, including

        1-4     English, Algebra II, geometry, American history, world history,

        1-5     geography, Latin, biology, and chemistry; and

        1-6           WHEREAS, A pioneer in home education, Benjamin has forged a

        1-7     path for others by completing his high school curriculum at home;

        1-8     and

        1-9           WHEREAS, Benjamin has been active in community service by

       1-10     helping senior citizens' groups and underprivileged families, and

       1-11     he has been active in his church, participating in mission work

       1-12     inside and outside the United States; and

       1-13           WHEREAS, This admirable young man has shown himself to be

       1-14     hardworking, honest, loyal, and motivated and a trustworthy and

       1-15     responsible employee; and

       1-16           WHEREAS, A well-rounded student, Benjamin has displayed

       1-17     good sportsmanship in excelling at athletics and diligence and

       1-18     perseverance in music study, especially piano and guitar; and

       1-19           WHEREAS, He can face the future with full confidence that

       1-20     his accomplishments, learning skills, and acquired knowledge

       1-21     will hold him in good stead in whatever path he chooses; and

       1-22           WHEREAS, Benjamin Isaac Embry has accomplished the goal he

       1-23     set for himself and will embark on an adventure into a world that

        2-1     holds countless exciting opportunities for him with the blessings

        2-2     and prayers of his parents, church leaders, and friends; now,

        2-3     therefore, be it

        2-4           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

        2-5     75th Legislature, hereby congratulate Benjamin Isaac Embry on

        2-6     his completion of his high school education; and, be it further

        2-7           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-8     him as an expression of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
