1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 803

        1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in

        1-3     recognizing Bryan Wimberley on the auspicious occasion of his

        1-4     graduation from high school as a Brazosport homeschooler; and

        1-5           WHEREAS, A pioneer in the home school movement, Bryan has

        1-6     forged a path for others by completing his high school curriculum

        1-7     in a noninstitutional setting; and

        1-8           WHEREAS, Home schooling encourages people of all ages to

        1-9     develop their potential and to pursue expertise in a variety

       1-10     of fields; and

       1-11           WHEREAS, Bryan has especially excelled in science,

       1-12     history, and biology; his athletic prowess is evident in his

       1-13     favorite sports--soccer, baseball, aggressive skating, and

       1-14     basketball; and

       1-15           WHEREAS, This admirable young man is dependable, loyal,

       1-16     generous, and compassionate, and he has consistently displayed

       1-17     perseverance and a desire to strive for excellence in all of his

       1-18     endeavors; and

       1-19           WHEREAS, He is active in his church and is a member of the

       1-20     Royal Ambassadors, choir, and Disciple Now; he has worked in lawn

       1-21     maintenance and has been an employee in a college bookstore; and

       1-22           WHEREAS, Bryan's notable accomplishments are evidence of

       1-23     his hard work and outstanding abilities, and he is now ready to

        2-1     face a world that holds countless opportunities for him; now,

        2-2     therefore, be it

        2-3           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

        2-4     75th Legislature, hereby commend Bryan Wimberley on his many

        2-5     achievements and extend congratulations to him on graduating

        2-6     from high school as a Brazosport homeschooler; and, be it further

        2-7           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-8     him as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate.
