1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 806

        1-2           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in

        1-3     recognizing Carleton Keane Brumbelow II on the auspicious occasion

        1-4     of his high school graduation; and

        1-5           WHEREAS, A pioneer in the home school movement, Carleton has

        1-6     forged a path for others by completing his high school curriculum

        1-7     in a noninstitutional setting; and

        1-8           WHEREAS, Home schooling encourages people of all ages to

        1-9     develop their potential and to pursue expertise in a variety of

       1-10     fields; and

       1-11           WHEREAS, Carleton has especially excelled in band and choir;

       1-12     in addition to devoting time to his studies, he has been active

       1-13     in numerous charity events and mission work; and

       1-14           WHEREAS, This reverent young man is a discerning,

       1-15     enthusiastic, courageous individual, and he has consistently

       1-16     displayed determination and a desire to strive for excellence in

       1-17     all of his endeavors; and

       1-18           WHEREAS, Carleton's notable accomplishments are evidence

       1-19     of his hard work and outstanding abilities, and he is now ready

       1-20     to face a world that holds countless opportunities for him; now,

       1-21     therefore, be it

       1-22           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-23     75th Legislature, hereby commend Carleton Keane Brumbelow II

        2-1     on his many achievements and extend congratulations to him on

        2-2     graduating from high school as a Brazosport Homeschooler; and,

        2-3     be it further

        2-4           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-5     him as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate.
