1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 809 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Arthur Del Rose 1-5 WHEREAS, The citizens of San Antonio mourned the passing of 1-6 one of the city's well-known restaurateurs, Arthur Del Rose, who 1-7 died May 13, 1997, at the age of 78; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Esteemed by his customers and friends, Mr. Del Rose 1-9 will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his city, and 1-10 his country; and 1-11 WHEREAS, An exemplary soldier during World War II, 1-12 Arthur Del Rose served in the United States Army and courageously 1-13 carried out his duties in faithful service to his fellowman; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Before his retirement, Mr. Del Rose worked for the 1-15 City of San Antonio, earning the respect and friendship of his 1-16 colleagues; a successful entrepreneur, he was the original owner 1-17 of the Alameda Cafe; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Proud of his family, Arthur Del Rose worked diligently 1-19 to provide a secure home for his wife, Elvira, and their children, 1-20 Amy Denise and Arthur Eric; and 1-21 WHEREAS, His wise counsel and sound judgment will be deeply 1-22 missed by all who had the privilege of knowing Arthur Del Rose and 1-23 sharing his life; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-2 75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the 2-3 family of Arthur Del Rose: his wife, Elvira; his daughter and 2-4 son-in-law, Amy and Richard Rasmussen; his son, Arthur Eric Del Rose; 2-5 and his grandchildren, Amy Kristina and Christopher Rasmussen; and, 2-6 be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-8 members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the 2-9 Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so 2-10 in memory of Arthur Del Rose. 2-11 Luna 2-12 ______________________________________ 2-13 President of the Senate 2-14 I hereby certify that the above 2-15 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-16 on May 22, 1997, by a rising vote. 2-17 ______________________________________ 2-18 Secretary of the Senate 2-19 ______________________________________ 2-20 Member, Texas Senate
