1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 813 1-2 WHEREAS, Ernesto and Marina Mata placed great faith and trust 1-3 in the future when they married on May 14, 1947, and they have 1-4 been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their 50th wedding 1-5 anniversary; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years 1-7 of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Mata of Angleton, Texas, have 1-8 steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their 1-10 love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and 1-11 sorrows of everyday living; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ernesto Mata have been blessed with a 1-13 wonderful family; their children, Concepcion Mata, Ernest Mata, Jr., 1-14 Alicia Tamez, and Roberto Mata, and their 10 grandchildren have been 1-15 a source of much pride and joy; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Mata shared their happiness with their 1-17 family and friends at a reception on May 11, 1997, at the Knights 1-18 of Columbus Hall in Angleton, Texas; and 1-19 WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Mata is 1-20 truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-22 75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to 1-23 Mr. and Mrs. Ernesto C.
