1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 825 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in 1-3 recognizing Patricia Bulos for her selection as a finalist for the 1-4 El Paso Independent School District 1997 Teacher of the Year title; 1-5 and 1-6 WHEREAS, A teacher at MacArthur Elementary/Intermediate, 1-7 Patricia teaches bilingual first grade; and 1-8 WHEREAS, A dedicated teacher with innovative instructional 1-9 strategies, Patricia Bulos is an enthusiastic educator who has 1-10 assisted with a wide array of student activities over the years; and 1-11 WHEREAS, A Parent-Teacher Association Board Member at Burleson, 1-12 MacArthur, and Burges schools, she is a Bilingual Task Force member 1-13 and a mentor teacher who has supervised six student teachers; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Her many effective teaching methods include team 1-15 teaching, the Spalding Reading/Writing Program, Cooking in the 1-16 Classroom, and the Dual Language Program; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Students of Patricia Bulos have greatly benefitted 1-18 from her skillful teaching methods and her concern for the 1-19 individual; she has armed her pupils with the skills necessary 1-20 to compete in the society of tomorrow; now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-22 75th Legislature, hereby commend Patricia Bulos on her contributions 1-23 to the students of the El Paso Independent School District and 2-1 extend best wishes to her for the years ahead; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her 2-3 as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-4 Shapleigh 2-5 ______________________________________ 2-6 President of the Senate 2-7 I hereby certify that the above 2-8 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-9 on May 22, 1997. 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 Secretary of the Senate 2-12 ______________________________________ 2-13 Member, Texas Senate
