1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 902 1-2 WHEREAS, Helen Annette Young and James Marvin Lovell, Jr., 1-3 placed great faith and trust in the future when they married on 1-4 May 26, 1947, in Rockwall, Texas, and they have been amply rewarded 1-5 as they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years 1-7 of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Lovell of Terrell, Texas, have 1-8 steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their love 1-10 and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and sorrows 1-11 of everyday living; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lovell have been blessed with a 1-13 wonderful family; their children, Margaret and Joe Matura, 1-14 Sherrie and Mike McBurney, and Paula and David Young, and their 1-15 grandchildren, Casey and Meredith Wiley, Zach Wiley, Amanda McBurney, 1-16 and Katie McBurney, have been a source of much pride and joy; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lovell shared their happiness with their 1-18 family and friends at an open house on Sunday, May 25, 1997, hosted 1-19 by their children, at the Fellowship Hall of the First United 1-20 Methodist Church; and 1-21 WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Lovell is 1-22 truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to 2-2 Mr. and Mrs. James Marvin Lovell, Jr., on their golden wedding 2-3 anniversary; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this 2-5 distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in their lives. 2-6 Cain 2-7 ______________________________________ 2-8 President of the Senate 2-9 I hereby certify that the above 2-10 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-11 on May 28, 1997. 2-12 ______________________________________ 2-13 Secretary of the Senate 2-14 ______________________________________ 2-15 Member, Texas Senate
