1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 904

        1-2           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Bills placed great faith and

        1-3     trust in the future when they married on May 10, 1947, and they

        1-4     have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their 50th

        1-5     wedding anniversary; and

        1-6           WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years

        1-7     of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Bills of Savoy, Texas, have

        1-8     steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values; and

        1-9           WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their

       1-10     love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and

       1-11     sorrows of everyday living; and

       1-12           WHEREAS, Mr. Bills retired as a Dallas firefighter, and

       1-13     Mrs. Bills retired from the ownership of a gift shop; and

       1-14           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bills have been blessed with a wonderful

       1-15     family; their three children and their seven grandchildren have

       1-16     been a source of much pride and joy; and

       1-17           WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Bills is

       1-18     truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it

       1-19           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-20     75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to

       1-21     Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Bills on their golden wedding anniversary;

       1-22     and, be it further

       1-23           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-1     this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in

        2-2     their lives.
