1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 905

        1-2           WHEREAS, Norma Westphal and Robert Mitchell placed great

        1-3     faith and trust in the future when they married on April 20, 1947,

        1-4     at the Marine Corps Air Station in Ewa, Oahu, Hawaii, and they

        1-5     have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their 50th

        1-6     wedding anniversary; and

        1-7           WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the

        1-8     years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitchell of

        1-9     Greenville, Texas, have steadfastly embraced traditional family

       1-10     and moral values; and

       1-11           WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their

       1-12     love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys

       1-13     and sorrows of everyday living; and

       1-14           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell have been blessed with a

       1-15     wonderful family; their sons, Steven Mitchell of Greenville and

       1-16     Richard Mitchell of Dallas, and one grandson have been a source

       1-17     of much pride and joy; and

       1-18           WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell

       1-19     is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it

       1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-21     75th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to

       1-22     Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitchell on their golden wedding anniversary;

       1-23     and, be it further

        2-1           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

        2-2     this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in

        2-3     their lives.
