1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 944

        1-2           WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is a splendid occasion

        1-3     and calls for much celebration; and

        1-4           WHEREAS, Frank and Ida Alvarado of Houston have reason to

        1-5     rejoice; since their marriage on June 10, 1947, they have spent

        1-6     50 years together in loyalty and devotion; and

        1-7           WHEREAS, Frank and Ida Alvarado have emphasized the strong

        1-8     and enduring family and community values inherent in their

        1-9     Mexican-American ancestry; and

       1-10           WHEREAS, The loving respect Frank and Ida share with one

       1-11     another is evident to all who are fortunate enough to know them;

       1-12     and

       1-13           WHEREAS, This happy couple has been blessed with a wonderful

       1-14     family; their two sons and three daughters have gifted them with

       1-15     six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; now, therefore,

       1-16     be it

       1-17           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

       1-18     75th Legislature, hereby join the relatives and friends of

       1-19     Mr. and Mrs. Frank Alvarado in extending to them best wishes and

       1-20     congratulations on their 50th wedding anniversary; and, be it

       1-21     further

       1-22           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

       1-23     this distinguished couple as a memento of this grand occasion.
