1-1                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 999

        1-2           WHEREAS, Riverside Country Club in Lake Jackson, Texas,

        1-3     will miss the dedication and expertise of Bluebell Sanders, who

        1-4     is retiring after almost 40 years of exceptional service; and

        1-5           WHEREAS, A valued employee, Bluebell began working in meal

        1-6     preparation for the country club on September 27, 1957; and

        1-7           WHEREAS, Besides serving delicious meals to club members,

        1-8     Bluebell practically became a surrogate parent to many of the

        1-9     members' children; and

       1-10           WHEREAS, Throughout the last 39 years, Bluebell Sanders has

       1-11     devoted her many working hours to carrying out her duties in a

       1-12     most exemplary manner; and

       1-13           WHEREAS, A faithful and talented employee, Bluebell has been

       1-14     noted for her kindness and dependability; and

       1-15           WHEREAS, In tribute to her years of loyalty and service,

       1-16     Riverside Country Club is hosting a retirement party for Bluebell

       1-17     on Sunday, June 29, 1997; and

       1-18           WHEREAS, The Riverside Country Club has greatly benefitted

       1-19     from the efforts, generous spirit, and talent of this accomplished

       1-20     employee; and

       1-21           WHEREAS, Bluebell Sanders has been commended for her attention

       1-22     to details, her excellent work, her dignity, and her positive

       1-23     attitude; and

        2-1           WHEREAS, A woman of unquestioned ability and integrity,

        2-2     this respected lady set a high standard of professionalism and

        2-3     her presence will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it

        2-4           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

        2-5     75th Legislature, hereby commend the career of service of

        2-6     Bluebell Sanders and congratulate her on her well-deserved

        2-7     retirement; and, be it further

        2-8           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be

        2-9     prepared for Bluebell Sanders as an expression of the highest

       2-10     regard of the Texas Senate.
