The bill would allow for the implementation of a traffic safety
program that would include posting signs along the roadside
at the site of traffic fatalities.

Methodolgy

The bill would require the Department of Transportation to post
signs along the roadside at the 500 sites with the highest number
of fatalities. The cost of a set of signs facing different directions
is $800. Additional one time cost for the development of program
literature is $50,000 with an ongoing annual cost of producing
and distributing public information of $100,000.

Five Year Impact:

Fiscal Year Probable
            Savings/(Cost)
