In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB89 ( Relating 
to the applicability of habitual offender punishment provisions 
to certain defendants convicted of state jail felonies.) this 
office has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB89-As Introduced
         
Implementing the bill could result in a negative fiscal impact 
to the State.  The fiscal impact to the state would vary depending 
on the degree to which local prosecutors choose to apply the 
provisions of the bill.
         

         
 
          
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government 
is anticipated.
