TO: Honorable Barry Telford, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 336, Committee Report 1st House
Committee on Pensions and Investments By: Telford
          House
          Austin, Texas

         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB336 ( Relating
to the administration of retirement systems for paid or partly
paid firefighters) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB336-Committee Report 1st House

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill contains two minor changes to the Texas Local Fire
Fighters Retirement Act. The change to Section 7f of the Act
would allow the board of trustees to apply changes retroactively
to maintain a plan's tax qualification status. Section 19(a)
would be changed to remove residency requirements for members
of the board of trustees.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
