LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session February 27, 1997 TO: Honorable Barry Telford, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 336, Committee Report 1st House Committee on Pensions and Investments By: Telford House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB336 ( Relating to the administration of retirement systems for paid or partly paid firefighters) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB336-Committee Report 1st House No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill contains two minor changes to the Texas Local Fire Fighters Retirement Act. The change to Section 7f of the Act would allow the board of trustees to apply changes retroactively to maintain a plan's tax qualification status. Section 19(a) would be changed to remove residency requirements for members of the board of trustees. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
