         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB385 ( Relating
to the service areas of certain public junior colleges.) this
office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB385-Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill could result in the redistribution of students between
Temple Junior College and Austin Community College which would
affect the tuition and fees generated. Reallocation of students
between the two colleges would affect enrollment related appropriations.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
