LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 4, 1997 TO: Honorable Kenneth Armbrister, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 449, As Engrossed Committee on State Affairs By: Eiland Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB449 ( Relating to the control of and disabling of gambling devices, equipment, or paraphernalia while an ocean-going vessel is in the territorial waters of this state.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB449-As Engrossed No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend Section 47.09 (b) of the Penal Code to provide affirmative defense to ocean-going vessels sailing in territorial waters for the purpose of calling on a port and which carry gambling devices, equipment or paraphernalia.
