Committee on Jurisprudence By: Lewis,Glenn
Senate

FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB455 ( Relating
to objection to a visiting judge.) this office has detemined
the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB455-As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Harris and Travis County officials estimate that notice requirements
and provisions of the bill that allow objections to the assignment
of a visiting judge in criminal cases could result in increased
costs to counties with populations greater than 500,000.
