In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB462 ( Relating 
to the application of the professional prosecutors law to the 
district attorney for the 88th Judicial District.) this office 
has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB462-As Introduced
         
Implementing the provisions of the bill would result in a net 
negative impact of $(64,630) to General Revenue Related Funds 
through the biennium ending August 31, 1999.
         
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal 
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions 
of the bill.

The bill would apply the Professional Prosecutors 
Act to the district attorney for the 88th Judicial District
         
 
Fiscal Analysis
 
There would be an increase in the state paid salary for the 
district attorney.  No fiscal impact to the county.
 
Methodolgy
 
The additional salary and benefits for the district attorney 
would be $32,315 annually.
The probable fiscal implications of implementing the provisions 
of the bill during each of the first  five years following passage 
is estimated as follows:
