"Pete" Laney IN RE: House Bill No. 591, As Passed 2nd House Speaker of the House By: Thompson House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB591 ( Relating to fees and costs for certain mental health proceedings.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB591-As Passed 2nd House FN Revision 1 No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. Increased costs to counties could result from provisions of the bill allowing a fee of up to $50 to be assessed for services of the presiding judge and the prosecuting attorney.
