In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB591 ( relating
to the compensation of certain judges for certain hearings.)
this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB591-Committee Report 1st House, as amended

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local costs could result from provisions of the bill adding
a prosecutorial service fee of up to $25 which can be taxed
as a court cost by a judge trying a mental health services case.
The bill states that the prosecutorial service fee shall not
be chargeable against the state or county employing the prosecuting
attorney.
