         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB670 ( relating
to the appraisal of property located in more than one appraisal
district) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB670-Committee Report 1st House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 6.025 of the Tax Code to require
a chief appraiser who appraised property in another county for
a taxing unit with territory in two or more counties to use
the other county's appraised value for a single family residence,
if the other county's appraised value is lower.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.
