         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB670 ( Relating
to the appraisal of property located in more than one appraisal
district.) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB670-As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 6.025 of the Tax Code to require
a chief appraiser who appraised property in another county for
a taxing unit with territory in two or more counties to use
the other county's appraised value for that property, if the
other county's appraised value is lower.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.
