         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB784 ( Relating
to the hearing of oral argument by appellate courts.) this office
has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB784-As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

However, if appellate courts decided to purchase teleconferencing
equipment, there would be a cost for the equipment and annual
line charges. It is expected that some savings in judge's travel
could result.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
