In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB802 ( Relating
to the coordination of tenant services programs.) this office
has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB802-As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
This bill amends Subchapter K, Chapter 2306 in the Government
Code by adding Section 2306.253 to improve the provision of
tenant services by coordinating the efforts of various state
agencies in obtaining federal funds. The bill requires that
the Department of Housing and Community Affairs designate a
department employee as tenant services coordinator who will
serve as a liaison to the Texas Workforce Commission, the Department
of Human Services, the Department of Protective and Regulatory
Services, and the Legislative Budget Board to coordinate tenant
service programs.
No fiscal implication to units of local
government is anticipated.
