Committee on Urban Affairs By: Puente
House
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1138 ( Relating
to the use of neighborhood associations in the enforcement of
municipal health and safety ordinances.) this office has detemined
the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1138-Committee Report 1st House, as amended
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
There may be some costs associated with municipalities training
volunteers to enforce health and safety ordinances, as provided
by this bill. However, such costs are not anticipated to be
significant, since a municipality could potentially reduce paid
staff time devoted to enforcing such ordinances.
