In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1161 ( Relating 
to uniform competitive bidding requirements for municipalities.) 
this office has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1161-As Passed 2nd House
         
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
         

         
 
          
This bill would remove municipalities from the list of entities 
which must comply with competitive bidding requirements under 
Chapter 271, Local Government Code.  However, municipalities 
would still be subject to competitive bidding requirements under 
Chapter 252, Local Government Code.

No significant fiscal 
implication to units of local government is anticipated.
