         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1208 ( Relating
to electronically processing travel expense reimbursement vouchers
for state officers and employees.) this office has detemined
the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1208-As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would implement the Texas Performance Review recommendation
CG10 in "Disturbing the Peace: The Challenge of Change in Texas
Government" to allow the Comptroller to create an electronic
travel voucher system, which would require a one-time development
cost of $120,000.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
