LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session March 14, 1997 TO: Honorable David Counts, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 1254, Committee Report 1st House, as amended Committee on Natural Resources By: Jackson House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1254 ( Relating to the validation of all acts, governmental proceedings, officials, bonds, and obligations of navigation districts and port authorities.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1254-Committee Report 1st House, as amended No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. This bill would validate acts and proceedings of port authorities and navigation districts. Should an issue arise which might allow board acts or proceedings to be questioned, this bill would confirm those actions unless: (1) the act or proceeding is the subject of litigation, or (2) it relates to patent or conveyance of a real property interest originally by the state and the act or proceeding violates a restriction or condition of that patent or conveyance.
