"Buster" Brown, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 1298, As Engrossed Committee on Natural Resources By: Kuempel Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1298 ( Relating to the delegation of duties of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission and its executive director.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1298-As Engrossed No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill would provide that an action taken by the executive director of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) related to the federal operating permit program be exempt from appeal to the commission. Appeals to the commission stemming from executive director action would be limited to: actions that are specified as final and those specifically allowed to be appealed by commission rule. The bill would also allow the executive director to delegate to staff certain authority and duties. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
