The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. This bill would allow the courts flexibility to have the commitment up to seven days from the order of detention as long as a probable cause hearing is held within 72 hours.
