LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session May 17, 1997 TO: Honorable David Sibley, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 1465, As Engrossed Committee on Economic Development By: Haggerty Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1465 ( Relating to the regulation of staff leasing services companies; providing penalties.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1465-As Engrossed No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill provides for the licensing of staff leasing services by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). TDLR is authorized to raise fees for certifications and examinations as necessary to offset related costs. The bill substitute decreases maximum penalties for violations of the bill's provisions.
