"Pete" Laney IN RE: House Bill No. 1465, As Passed 2nd House Speaker of the House Haggerty House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1465 ( relating to the regulation of staff leasing services; providing penalties.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1465-As Passed 2nd House No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill provides for the licensing of staff leasing services by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). TDLR is authorized to raise fees for certifications and examinations as necessary to offset related costs. The bill substitute decreases maximum penalties for violations of the bill's provisions.
