In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1511 ( Relating
to the administration and allocation of Medicaid and other funds
used to pay for graduate medical education.) this office has
detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1511-Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
No fiscal impact is expected for the Department of Health.
Fiscal impact for the Higher Education Coordinating Board is
related to 0.25 staff and costs associated with an advisory
board for a total of $12,730 per year. Given the size of the
Higher Education Coordinating Board, these fiscal implications
are considered to be not significant.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated. However, any formula which alters the current
distribution of graduate medical education funds could impact
some local entities.
