         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1523 ( Relating
to the fee for a fishing license issued to a mentally disabled
person.) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1523-As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
to reduce or waive the fishing license fee for a resident who
has a mental impairment that substantially limits one or more
of the major life activities of the individual. The bill's
provisions would not significantly affect fishing license revenues.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
